Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Food Therapy

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine treats our pets through acupuncture for chronic illnesses and pain and long term herbal medicine intake for health maintenance. In combination with western veterinary medicine’s diagnostics and treatments, our medical treat strives to focus on preventative care and wellness of our patients.

Dr Wang has a special interest in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Acupuncture to support patients with neurological disease, musculoskeletal disorders and geriatric care. In addition, we are also now the only veterinary hospital in Vancouver and Richmond to offer certified traditional Chinese food therapy. In the near future, herbal medicine will be added to our integrative medical services.

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Food Therapy is a method based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, taking into consideration the pet’s Five Elements, constitution, and medical history, to tailor a personalized dietary plan aimed at promoting pet health, preventing diseases, and providing supplementary treatment. Similar to humans, the health of pets is closely related to their diet. The philosophy of dietary therapy involves selecting specific foods, adjusting dietary structures, boosting the pet’s immune system, improving their physical condition, and slowing down the progression of diseases.

In summary, the daily care provided by Chinese veterinary dietary therapy complements the scientific diagnosis and treatment by veterinarians. This integrated approach aims to prevent diseases, ensuring that pets receive comprehensive care and enjoy more days of happiness and health in our company.

Dr Hsuanhui Wendy Wang is the only veterinarian certified as a TCVM Certified Veterinary Food Therapist in Vancouver and Richmond as of 2024. Please register as our New Client and Book an Appointment with us.
